From zero to a live SEO product in six months
How a scale-up enabled frequent, safe delivery through eXtreme Programming and solid architectural design

Context
SEO matters to anyone who wants their website to work as a credible calling card. Improving SEO is not just about making a site visually sound and accessible; performance matters just as much. This scale-up's product sits between a website's owner and its visitors: it adjusts the site's appearance and optimises its performance (among other things), improving its ranking on search engines. All of this happens without end users noticing a thing, completely transparently.
Objectives
- Help the team deliver
- Enable frequent, safe releases through testing techniques
- Mentoring to teach technical and non-technical methods that enable the company's evolution
Services
We were brought in to enable the company's evolution through day-to-day work alongside both the development team, to build technical skills, particularly around architecture, and management, to bring a more structured and scalable workflow. Alongside this work with the team, we built a new feature through a green-field project. It was an excellent opportunity to show the effectiveness of eXtreme Programming practices and the importance of solid architectural design in extending them to the rest of the codebase.
